Verinform Unveils
Residency Management Solution at CREOG/APGO
March 1, 2003 - Anaheim, California
Verinform Systems, Inc. today previewed the next
release of VerinformRM™ GME and Residency Management System
at the annual joint Conference of the Council on Resident Education
on Obstetrics & Gynecology (“CREOG”) and the Association
of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (“APGO”).
VerinformRM is a comprehensive web-based system that serves the
data management and reporting needs of residency training programs
and GME departments. VerinformRM v2.0 adds full support for the
new ACGME Resident Duty Hours regulations, which take effect on
July 1st, 2003.
CEO & Founder Dina Dickerson, MPH said, “we’re
delighted to show Conference attendees a preview of what we have
in store for them with VerinformRM 2.0, due for release on March
31st. Obstetrics-Gynecology clinical training programs around the
country face the same challenge in the upcoming year. In addition
to the work they do now to comply with existing Procedure and Evaluations
reporting requirements, they must make major adjustments in rotation
and call schedules to satisfy new ACGME resident duty hours limits.
Not only is it difficult to make these new schedules work, they
also have to satisfy a set of monitoring and reporting tasks to
prove compliance. At Verinform Systems Inc, we are dedicated to
providing systems that help programs meet these requirements without
alienating their hard-working residents with unwieldy, time-consuming
or disrespectful recording methods.”
Dickerson adds,“we’ve worked closely
with early customers to approach this in a way that’s sensitive
to both the regulatory requirements and to residents, residency
coordinators, program directors and GME administrators. This issue
cuts across every accredited program within an institution of academic
medicine – so it’s natural that we should solve it with
VerinformRM, the first institution-wide solution that can be tailored
to meet the needs of each program while aggregating data across
programs to address information needs at the GME level.”
Verinform Educational Grant
Verinform also announced an educational grant in support of the
joint CREOG & APGO Conference.
Donna D. Wachler, Executive Director of APGO said,
“this grant is greatly appreciated and will enable us to continue
to meet our mission of advancing and improving the study, teaching
methods and research activities that promote excellence in the training
of health care professional who care for women.”
“At Verinform we believe strongly in the
importance of research,” Dickerson stated.
