Verinform Creates Fellows Program

August 12, 2003 - Portland, Oregon

Verinform Systems, Inc., a provider of enterprise software applications for academic hospitals, clinical environments and governmental public health agencies, today announced it has created a Fellows program for key contributors, and elevation of co-founder Jill Anderson and consultant Florian Clever to the role of Verinform Design Fellow.

“Technology leaders like Intel and Apple have long recognized the need for a distinct career pathway, paralleling a standard operational management structure, to recognize exceptionally gifted technologists who consistently make a substantial research and development contribution to an organization’s strategic value. This is a great opportunity for both the company and for the individuals, because it provides a formal context in which people of extraordinary talent can focus on long-term innovation,” said Verinform CEO and Founder Dina Dickerson. “Since we began working together in 1990, Jill’s outstanding track record in product design and development for Verinform has been a central factor in our company’s many successes to date, so she was the ideal candidate to pioneer our Fellows program. Florian has worked closely with us for more than three years, making an enormous contribution to the Verinform Protocol Manager architecture,” added Dickerson. “We are pleased to honor these two very talented folks with this recognition of their premier importance to our growing organization.”

Anderson, a resident of Portland, Oregon, has spent her entire prior career developing and implementing information systems for healthcare, working extensively with Oregon Health & Science University and the Portland Veterans Administration Hospital. In 1990, she joined Ms. Dickerson’s consultancy company, helping to design, implement and support over 30 distinct healthcare information management applications for institutional customers nationwide. She and Dickerson then jointly founded Verinform Systems, Inc., in 2000. Most recently, Ms. Anderson held the title of Executive Vice President for Product Development at Verinform.

Clever is a resident of Freiburg, Germany. Prior to his extended contributions to Verinform, which began in 1999, he had extensive experience in delivering workflow and business process automation solutions for a variety of corporations across Europe, including the University Hospital Freiburg, where he helped develop Electronic Medical Record and insurance billing systems. He is the founder and owner of Clever Software Solutions of Freiburg, Germany, a developer of services and products for streamlining business processes.
