GME and Residency Information Management System

VerinformRM™ is a web-based system that serves the data management and reporting needs of medical schools, residency training programs and Graduate Medical Education departments. VerinformRM is comprehensive and integrated, so teaching hospitals can save thousands of hours in scheduling, evaluation, reporting and other tasks while easing the path to compliance with ACGME requirements. The system is designed to meet specific needs of each program while also aggregating all data required by the GME office and Fiscal Services across all programs.

Residency Administrators

• Enables administrators to build as many forms as necessary to address 360-degree evaluations and other needs
• Maintains demographic, educational history and other information about each resident and attending physician
• Imports data from ERAS and OnCall without retyping
• Produces required evaluations automatically based on rotation assignments or time and monitors completion status
• Enables administrators to define required procedures and compare resident's actual performance with the number expected
• Tracks conference attendance by conference or resident
• Easily creates preformatted or custom reports for all or selected physicians
• Identifies violations of compliance rules

Residents and Attendings

• Addresses all residency reporting and communication needs in one place: schedules, evaluations, duty hours, procedures, conferences, Residency Manual and more
• Manages compliance with training requirements via email
• Provides ability to add links to other web sites as needed

Program Directors

• Reports compliance with duty hours regulations by rotation, physician and completion status
• Summarizes evaluation question result statistics in tabular or statistical format
• Produces evaluation completion aging reports
• Identifies procedures with pending review by the supervising physician
• Allows Division/Section Chiefs to view evaluations for subspecialty rotations
• Compares and ranks housestaff and faculty performance relative to peers

GME Administrators

• Creates Master Rotation Schedule from schedules entered at the program level
• Calculates invoices for affiliate institutions based on house staff schedules
• Identifies meal ticket allotment for residents on service
• Reports duty hours violations across all programs
• Eliminates the necessity for multiple data management systems to accommodate new needs

Fiscal Services

• Creates Medicare Cost Report and IRIS data export
• Provides FTE count reports that integrate rotation assignment and resident demographic information to determine correct FTE for each individual
• Identifies residents with missing ECFMG forms or other auditor-required data
• Enables fiscal agent to configure IME and DGME calculation settings for each service

IT Staff

• User access is browser-based; no desktop application to support
• Hosted by Verinform on a secure server or may be installed within the institutional intranet
• Software is maintained and updated by Verinform
• Uses Oracle® as its database engine—scalable, robust
• Supports all standard server operating systems
